About Sunny Soul Permaculture
Consulting with Purpose
My name is Sara Fritsch, founder of Sunny Soul Permaculture here in the Willamette Valley. Over the course of the last ten years I have become increasingly aware of a growing need for sustainability, both in the equestrian industry and at home. Our solution is to use nature as a sustainable design model, in order to create and manage agricultural systems for humans and animals alike that are beautiful, bio-diverse, and resilient to change.
Throughout the consulting and design process, I utilize the Ethics and Principles of Permaculture, a philosophy coined by the late Australian biologist Bill Mollison. The word "Perma-culture" is derived from the root words permanent and (agri)culture, and defines the seamless integration of people and landscape; one that meets any material or non material need in an ethical, sustainable way. Mr. Mollison created this philosophy based on the observation that nature regenerates and takes care of itself. Inherently, a design created to function in harmony with those natural, organic systems will reflect that regeneration.
Sunny Soul Permaculture was founded with the mission to educate and inspire current and future generations to take an active role in preserving Earth's natural resources, beginning in their own backyard, farm, or community. As a Permaculture educator, I believe in maintaining a holistic mindset, creating ethical partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for regenerative solutions.
